Online Course Detail
Professionals working in schools for deaf children are faced with unique challenges in providing services to children with cochlear implants. Resistance to aggressive auditory management and attitudes of indifference to spoken language create barriers to helping a child maximize the auditory potential of the device. This online seminar designed specifically for professionals in schools for deaf children provides practical information on the needs of children with cochlear implants as well as offer suggestions for enlisting the support of colleagues in environments in which sign communication is used.
