This talk discusses goals on which to focus to develop more sophisticated listening, speech, and language skills in teenagers. Specific activities that go along with each goal are presented. Working with teenagers who have received bilateral cochlear implants is also reviewed.

Course Objectives:
- Upon completing this course, learners will be able to identify the different groupings of teenagers that are appropriate to work on higher level/sophisticated listening and spoken language skills.
- Upon completing this course, learners will be able to list at least four higher level/sophisticated auditory goals appropriate for teenagers.
- Upon completing this course, learners will be able to discuss appropriate auditory goals on which to focus for a teenager who receives bilateral cochlear implants.
- Upon completing this course, learners will be able to identify three activities that may be used to develop higher level/sophisticated auditory skills.
