This one-hour course offers insight into single-sided unilateral hearing loss. Cause, effect and treatment will be discussed relative to how single-sided deafness (SSD) presents itself to daily communication situations.

Course Objectives:
- After this course, participants will be able to list the various causes of SSD.
- After this course, participants will be able to explain how SSD may interfere with every day speech communication and spatial hearing.
- After this course, participants will be able to discuss treatment options such as traditional contralateral routing of signals (CROS) and transcranial CROS.
