It is widely accepted that any child receiving a cochlear implant must receive subsequent aural rehabilitation services in order to experience maximal benefit from the implant device. The same holds true for most adult recipients; however, more often than not, rehabilitation services are hard for them to find. Speech language pathologists and audiologists who have trained to work with children may be reluctant to apply their skills in auditory development to adult clients. This session underscores the overlap in skills and knowledge for these groups while highlighting concepts that apply specifically to adult clients.

This is a Recorded Course which requires either a Windows-based computer or a Mac with speakers/headphones to view. More information is available in the FAQs/Help section.
